Former Michigan State quarterback Brian Hoyer has been named to start for the Cleveland Browns in their game Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings. Hoyer has been the Browns' number three quarterback behind Brandon Weeden, who is injured and Jason Campbell. Hoyer will make his second NFL career start. Hoyer started at Michigan State in 2007-08. He is a Cleveland native. The Browns are 0-2 and Hoyer is the 19th quarterback to start for the Browns since 1999.
