Howard Deal is Now Official

The Detroit Red Wings have now confirmed that goalie Jimmy Howard has signed a six year contract extension. Howard, 29, was a Red Wings draft signee in 2003 after he was taken in the second round with the 64th pick overall. The Red Wings declined to add contract details but the money involved reportedly is $32 million.
