Grand Ledge Advances to Classic Final

Grand Ledge scored three runs in the 9th inning Tuesday night to beat Portland 7-4 in the 52nd Diamond Classic High School baseball tournament semi-finals. The game was played at Cooley Law School stadium. Portland trailed 4-2 but scored two runs in the bottom of the 7th inning to force extra innings. Grand Ledge is seeking its fifth straight Classic title and will face the winner of the Lansing Catholic vs. Bath game. The final is set for 7pm Wednesday at Kircher/Municipal Park.
