NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell offered his state of the game address Friday in Indianapolis, two days ahead of Super Bowl 46:
Goodell says the NFL Network will air Thursday night games from weeks two through 15, giving more teams a chance to appear in prime time. He says if Los Angeles gets a franchise, the league likely will expand from 32 to 34 teams. Goodell wants to keep playing games in London and in Mexico-- the Rams and Patriots play a regular season game in London this next fall. And he says the NFL will continue to search for ways to make the game safer for the players.
