Former Detroit Pistons coach Donnis Butcher has died at the age of 76. Butcher averaged 6.1 points in 279 games as a player with the Pistons and New York Knicks. He replaced Dave DeBuscchere as Pistons coach late in the 1967 season then coached the Pistons into the playoffs the next season, his only as the Pistons head coach. His Pistons' coaching record was 52-60.
