Former Detroit Piston Mehmet Okur has retired from the NBA after 10 seasons at the age of 33. Okur is a native of Turkey. He played for the Pistons' NBA championship team in 2004. Okur was a key reserve off the bench and helped on the front line with his 6-11 size.
