Fields Re Joins Tigers Organization

Posted: Thu 5:20 PM, Nov 01, 2012

Bruce Fields, who played 13 years in the Detroit Tigers' minor league organization, is returning to the franchise. Fields, the former Lansing Everett High School star in baseball and basketball, has been named the Tigers' minor league hitting instructor. The Tigers will leave Lloyd McClendon as the parent club hitting coach after he was passed over to become manager of the Miami Marlins. Toby Harrah will assist McClendon in Detroit, making room for Fields to travel through the club's minor league system helping batters during the season.
