Actor Clint Eastwood is being credited with saving the life of the tournament chairman of theA T and T Pro Am golf tournament being played this week in Pebble Beach, California. Eastwood noticed 50-yeaer old Steve John, the tournament chairman, choking on some food during a volunteer party Wednesday night. The 83-year old Eastwood performed the Heimlich maneuver and John managed to dislodge a piece of stuck food. John said it was the second time in his life someone had to perform the Heimlich on him, the first being seven years earlier. John said he weights 202 pounds and he couldn't believe Eastwood had the strenght to throw him straight up in the air.
