Lansing native Earvin "Magic" Johnson announced Wednesday he and partner Mark Walters have bought the WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks. The 53-year old Johnson already owns a share of baseball's Los Angeles Dodgers and at one time owned a piece of the NBA's Lakers. Johnson said the financially troubled franchise will stay in Los Angeles. The previous owner reportedly lost more than $12 million since purchasing the team in 2007.
