ESPN Reaches Deal With Major League Baseball

ESPN has reached an eight year agreement with Major League Baseball to continue televising games for eight more seasons. ESPN has carried big league games since 1990. This is a $5.6 billion deal, so it is reported. And the rights fee to MLB increases from $306 milliont to $700 million per year. ESPN will get to broadcast one wildcard playoff game and gets other rights to games it has previously not held.
