DeWitt Prepares For Football Showdown

The big game in high school football this Friday finds unbeaten DeWitt at 3-1 Haslett, a CAAC Red Division showdown.

DeWitt is 4-0 led by junior quarterback Jake Johnson and Notre Dame and Michigan already have their eyes on him. DeWitt has beaten Haslett ten straight times but DeWitt's 15th year head coach Rob Zimmerman never takes a rivalry game like this one for granted.

"They are doing a lot of things very well this season," Zimmerman said of Haslett. "They are passing more and they have more offense. They have more seasoned players from a year ago and are playing with confidence.

"They are always anxious to play us-- especially this year and we are anxious to play ourselves."
