Michigan State football coach told a news conference audience Wednesday afternoon his 2014 recruiting class "maybe our best ever in our 7-8 years here." Michigan State signed more than 20 players and in late afternoon was awaiting the signed scholrship from Southfield's Malik McDowell who announced for the Spartans earlier in the day.
Dantonio said Wisconsin native Craig Evans could see plenty of time this fall on the defensive line. He had decommitted from Wisconsin earlier in the process. MSU did not sign a quarterback in this class after Chris Durking from Youngstown, Ohio decommitted this last fall. The MSU class is considered as good as number two behind Ohio State in the Big Ten and by some services in the top 20 nationally.
