Cougars Lead State Golf After Day One

Two time defending state champion Lansing Catholic has a 37-shot lead after one day of the girls division four state high school golf championships. Play began in rugged weather Friday at MSU's Akers West Course and 18 more holes will be played Saturday. Danielle Crilley and Jacqueline Setas are tied for second place individually one shot behind the leader from Frankenmuth. Both shot 78s. Play resumes at 10am Saturday. There are 15 schools in the field.
