St. Joseph County prosecutors in Indiana will now charge Notre Dame quarterback Tommy Rees with four misdemeanor assault charges instead of a felony. Rees was released today on $250 bond after being arrested overnight from a near campus house party. He was allegedly trying to elude police who were about to raid the party when he got into a confrontation with at least one and had to be pepper sprayed. Linebacker Carlos Calabrese was also arrested and charged with misdemeanors. Notre Dame officials say they are investigating on their own.
