Yoenis Cespedes of the Oakland A's has won the home run derby to begin major league baseball's all star festivities at the New York Mets Stadium. Cespedes beat the Washington Nationals' Bryce Harper in the finals. Cespedes hit 17 home runs in the first round. Defending champ and two time winner Prince Fielder of the Detroit Tigers was eliminated in the first round after hitting five home runs. The all star game begins at 8:30pm Tuesday.
