The St. Louis Cardinals beat the Nationals in Washington, D. C., Wednesday afternoon, 8-0. The Cardinals have now won two in a row after an opening loss and lead the best of five series 2-1. Games four and if necessary five will be played in Washington. The Nationals had baseball's best regular season record at 98-64 and the Cardinals are a wild card team after beating Atlanta in a one game playoff last Friday.
