Calhoun Suspended by NCAA

NCAA Basketball

Connecticut men's basketball coach Jim Calhoun was suspended by the NCAA Tuesday for the first three Big East Conference games of the 2011-12 season. The NCAA said Calhoun did not foster an air of compliance in his program. In addition, U Conn will vacate some scholarships and be on three years probation but the school dodged a ban on post season play.
