The Detroit Tigers say slugger Miguel Cabrera underwent muscle repair surgery on Tuesday and he is expected to be ready for spring training. Cabrera was suffering fron a groin tear. He hit .348 with 44 home runs this past season. But he hit .262 with two home runs in the 11 post season games the Tigers played. Cabrera faces 6-8 weeks of rehabilitation.
