Zeigler Bounces Back For Panthers

PITTSBURGH (AP) -- Pittsburgh junior guard Trey Zeigler's first season with the Panthers hasn't exactly gone as planned.
The former Central Michigan transfer figured he would be the starting shooting guard alongside Tray Woodall. Instead Zeigler ended up coming off the bench for the first time in his life. The adjustment took some time and Zeigler allows he didn't take it that well. His minutes dipped and he was suspended two games following his arrest on DUI charges in November.
Zeigler called his arrest a mistake and he's spent the last two months working his way back into coach Jamie Dixon's good graces by rebounding and playing defense.
It's working. Zeigler is averaging 9 points and is shooting 57 percent from the floor over his last three games for the Panthers (16-4, 4-3 Big East), who host DePaul (10-8, 1-4) on Saturday.
