Posted: Fri 4:51 PM, May 25, 2012

Ohio State eliminated Nebraska Friday in the Big Ten baseball tournament in Columbus with a 6-2 win. The Cornhuskers and Penn State have now been knocked from the field. Ohio State is the 6th seed and plays a mid afternoon game Friday against 5th seeded Michigan State with the loser also eliminated. Winners bracket teams Purdue and Indiana meet at 7pm for the first time this season. MSU would have to win four games to win the Big Ten tournament title and its automatic berth in the NCAA tournament. MSU has not played in the tournament since 1979.
