Blockbuster Trade for Detroit Tigers

Minutes before Thursday's 4pm trade deadline the Detroit Tigers acquired starting pitcher David Price from the Tampa Bay Rays in a three team deal that included the Seattle Mariners. The addition of Price gives the Tigers' starting rotation the last three Cy Young award winners-- Justin Verlander and Max Scherzer being the other two. The Tigers sent starter Drew Smyly to Tampa Bay and centerfielder Austin Jackson to the Mariners to complete the deal.
