Larry Bird's job as president of the Pacers is safe until the end of the season.
Larry Bird is reportedly leaving the NBA's Indiana Pacers. As the club's president of operations, Bird built a team that lost to league champion Miami in the playoffs this season. For that he was named NBA executive of the year. The Indianapolis Star cites an unidentified person with direct knowledge of the situation as saying the 55-year old is stepping down.
