The BCS championship trophy arrived in Lansing Thursday afternoon after a flight to Detroit from Dallas and will be on display in mid Michigan through Saturday night's game in Spartan Stadium between Michigan State and Notre Dame.
The trophy las made an MSU appearance in 1999. It has been to LSU's opening game and appears at Oregon next week. The trophy is worth $30,000 and the crystal football takes three months to craft in Waterford, Ireland.
The trophy will be on display Friday from 1-3pm at the Lansing Wal Mart store and at the Okemos location from 4-6pm. It will also be on display in and around Spartan Stadium before and during the game Saturday night.
