The Oakland A's completed a three game sweep of the stunned Texas Rangers Wednesday with a 12-5 victory and won the American League West in the process. The Rangers are now a wild card team and will have a one game playoff Friday. The A's likely will open a best of five series at 6:07pm Saturday in Detroit. The first two games would be in Comerica Park with the remainder of the series in Oakland. The A's and Tigers split six games during the regular season.
