Another Win For The Tigers

Doug Fister left his start in the fifth inning Friday of the Detroit Tigers 7-2 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates in Bradenton. Fister described soreness in his right middle finger. He was scheduled to throw 75 pitches but came out after 4 1/3 innings. He struck out four. Pittsburgh's Matt Hague hit a two run homer off Fister in the second inning. Detroit's Clete Thomas had a solo homer in the top of the 5th off Pittsburgh closer Joel Hanrahan. The Tigers now have a 14-3 Florida record.
