DETROIT (AP) -- A strained left hamstring has landed Tigers rookie pitcher Andrew Miller on the 15-day disabled list.
Miller left last night's 7-4 loss to the Chicago White Sox after 4 innings. He injured the hamstring on his last pitch of the fourth inning, and couldn't warm up for the fifth.
The 22-year-old lefty is 5-and-4 with a 4.42 ERA in 11 starts. Miller was Detroit's first-round pick in the 2006 draft.
The Tigers recalled right-handed pitcher Fernando Rodney to take Miller's spot on the roster. He's been sidelined since June 24th by tendinitis in his right shoulder.
