Ryan Howard hit his first home run of the spring and highly touted Domonic Brown connected twice, leading Cole Hamels and the Philadelphia Phillies over the Detroit Tigers 6-1 Tuesday in Clearwater. Hamels held the Tigers to an unearned run and two hits in five innings. He struck out four and walked none. Howard's two run drive came off Tigers' ace Justin Verlander, who also gave up one of the homers to Brown.
