Tigers Lose to Philadelphia

The Detroit Tigers were shut out for the first time in spring training Thrusday, falling to the Philadelphia Phillies 4-0. Five pitchers combined to keep the Tigers off the scoreboard and the final two Tigers struck out in the 9th inning. Detroit's spring record falls to 4-5. Justin Verlander gave up two runs in four innings of work for Detroit.
