ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) -- The Detroit Lions today re-signed defensive tackle Cory Redding to a multi-year deal.
The team put the franchise tag on Redding in February -- preventing him from becoming an unrestricted free agent.
Redding emerged as a dominant player for the Lions last year when defensive tackle Shaun Rogers was out of the lineup.
He had 37 tackles -- including eight sacks -- in his fourth season with the team after being drafted out of Texas in 2003.
