Tiger Woods has informed the Buick Open that he will not be playing in the tournament this year.
On Monday Woods' wife gave birth to the couple's first child.
Woods said May 21st that he intended to play at Warwick Hills in Genesee County's Grand Township but the birth of his child was a priority.
The Buick Open is earlier this year than in the past, starting Thursday and ending July first instead of in early August.
