Okemos fells behind 3-1 after 2 inning but stormed back scoring 4 in the 3rd to take the lead for good. Mike Ferry provided the big blow with a 2-run homer to left center. Okemos cruised to the 12-to-5 victory running their season record to 29-to-5. Okemos will face Dewitt at 5:30 pm in the first Diamond Classic semifinal on Monday June 4th at Oldsmobile Park.
In the nightcap Grand Ledge Raced out to a 2-nothing lead in the first inning and never looked back. The Comets broke the game open scoring 7 runs in the 4th inning en route to the 10-to-4 win. The Comets will meet Fowlerville in the second semifinal on Monday June 4th.
