three mid Michigan high school football teams play state tournament semi-final games on Saturday. If any of the three wins, they move on to state championships in their divisions a week from Saturday at Detroit's Ford Field.
In division one, Holt is 11-1 and fresh from a stunning win at top ranked Rockford 27-13. Holt is an underdog Saturday to unbeaten Detroit Catholic Central at Lansing's Everett High School. Kick off for all the games is 1pm. Catholic Central has shutout 7 of its 12 opponents.
In divison three, DeWitt plays its first play off game away from its home stadium. DeWitt, 12-0 faces Orchard Lake St. Mary's at Fenton. St. Mary's is a misleading 7-4 with a quarterback headed to Penn State and a running back going to UCLA.
In division five, Jackson Lumen Christi is 11-1 and favored over 10-2 Muskegon Heights in a game at Onsted, just north of Kalamazoo.
