Spartans Hold Off Wolverines At Yost, 3-2

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) -- Three different players scored to lift Michigan State to a 3-2 win over Michigan on Friday night, snapping the Spartans' six-game losing streak to their rivals.
Andrew Rowe, Corey Tropp and Daultan Leveille scored for Michigan State (8-2-1, 5-1-1 Central Collegiate Hockey Association) and Drew Palmisano made 17 saves.
Lee Moffie and Carl Hagelin scored for Michigan (4-5-0, 2-3-0) and Bryan Hogan stopped 21 shots.
Tropp gave Michigan State a 2-1 lead with 3:57 left in the second period with his nation-leading ninth goal. Daultan Leveille's second goal of the season gave the Spartans a 3-1 lead 1:05 into the third. Hagelin's fourth goal, with 7:53 left, closed the gap to one.
Rowe opened the scoring 7:48 into the game with his fifth goal. Moffie's first career goal tied it at 1 for Michigan with 7:06 left in the middle period.
