Michigan state senior John Dwan was named the Big Ten pitcher of the week a day after beating the Indiana Hoosiers. Dwan pitched seven scoreless innings, yielding just three hits and striking out three. The win brings his overall record to 2-2 this year.
Michigan State took 3-of-4 from Indiana and will play the Lansing Lugnuts Tuesday at Oldsmobile Park.
