Red Wings Blow 3-Goal Lead and Lose To Dallas In Shootout

DETROIT (AP) -- Sergei Zubov scored the only goal of the shootout to lift the Dallas Stars to a 4-to-3 comeback victory over the Detroit Red Wings.
Dallas scored three goals in a third-period span of six-17 to tie the game at three and send it into overtime.
Brenden Morrow, Mike Ribeiro and Phillipe Boucher (fih-LEEP' boo-SHAY') scored for the Stars in regulation. Mike Smith stopped 31 shots.
Kris Draper had a goal and an assist for Detroit and Todd Bertuzzi got his first goal as a member of the Red Wings.
Detroit began the night tied with Buffalo and Nashville for the N-H-L points lead with 105.
