BREAKING NEWS: Smith to Minnesota

A University of Minnesota official says Kentucky basketball coach Tubby Smith will be the Gophers' new coach.
The official spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because Minnesota has not yet announced the hire. The Gophers fired coach Dan Monson in November.
