Pistons Cut Former U-M Player

Former Michigan basketball star Maceo Baston, now 33, was cut Wednesday by the Detroit Pistons, who reduced their roster to 15 players. The Pistons' regular season opens next Wednesday at Memphis. Baston averaged 0.5 points per game in five exhibition games. He played 27 games last season for the Indiana Pacers.
