Tigers Beat Kansas City Wednesday Night

The Detroit Tigers scratched out three runs in the first two innings off Kansas City pitching ace Zach Greinke Wednesday night and went on to beat the Royals 3-1 at Comerica Park. Luke French pitched 6 1/3 innings in his second major league start and picked up his first victory. The Tigers won two out of three ini the series and now stand 46-38. Thursday is an off day, then the Cleveland Indians visit Comerica Park for three games beginning Friday night then baseball breaks for the all-star game Tuesday in St. Louis.
