Two players with MSU ties will tee off Thursday in the PGA's John Deere Classic in Silvis, Illinois. Jack Newman goes off the 10th tee at 9:44am after receiving a sponsor's exemption. Newman, a senior this coming fall, played in the Masters this past April and missed the cut by three shots. Ten minutes behind him Thursday, former Spartan Andrew Ruthkoski tees off. Ruthkoski played at MSU from 2001 to 2005 and holds the school's fifth highest career scoring average at 74.09.
