Cleveland Cavaliers assistant John Kuester is expected to be named the Detroit Pistons' new head coach either Tuesday night or Wednesday. Kuester was a former Pistons' assistant under Larry Brown. The Pistons broke off talks with 44-year old Avery Johnson, the former Dallas Mavericks coach when the sides could not come to an agreement on lenght of the deal and money. The Pistons reportedly would not give Johnson a four year guarantee. Johnson is currently an NBA analyst after leading the Dallas Mavericks to a 194-70 record over three seasons.
