DETROIT (AP) -- The Detroit Tigers have placed left-handed pitcher Nate Robertson on the 15-day disabled list.
The team says he has a mass in his left elbow. The move is retroactive to Saturday.
To take Robertson's place on the club's 25-man roster Sunday, the Tigers bought the contract of left-handed pitcher Fu-Te Ni from Triple A Toledo.
Ni has a 3-0 record and 2.60 earned run average, with 32 strikeouts in 24 outings with the Mud Hens.
