JONES AND KANGAS MAKE ALL TOURNAMENT TEAM

Oakland University lost in the final seconds Tuesday night in Sioux Falls, South Dakota in the Summit League championship game to top seed North Dakota State, 66-64. Oakland ends its regular season at 22-11 and the loss cost the Golden Grizzlies an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. Oakland now can only hope to be chosen for the NIT tournament.
Okemos junior Johnathon Jones and DeWitt senior Eric Kangas both made the all tournament team. Jones scored 15 points and Kangas 16 in the game. Oakland blew a 14-point lead and Jones missed a long three pointer at the buzzer that would have won it.
