Top seed North Dakota State scored with 3 seconds to play Tuesday night in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to win the Summit League men's basketball title, 66-64 over Oakland U. The Golden Grizzlies led most of the game and by 14 at one time.
Okemos native Johnathon Jones missed a 3 pointer at the buzzer which would have won the game. Jones had 15 points and teammate Eric Kangas of DeWitt had 16. Oakland led 43-33 at halftime. Oakland is now 22-12 on the season and can only hope to keep playing with an NIT bid Sunday night.
