TIGER WOODS KNOCKED OUT OF MATCH PLAY TOURNEY

A day after returning to the PGA tour, Tiger Woods lost Thursday in the second round of the Accenture World Match Play golf championship near Tucson, Arizona. Tim Clark controlled the match most of the way to win 4 and 2.
Woods was three down when he holed a bunker shot for birdie at the par 4 14th hole to get within two, but promptly hit his drive on the 15th tee into the desert and never recovered.
Woods beat Brendan Jones 3 and 2 in his opening match Wednesday. Other winners Thursday in the second round included Ernie Els, Phil Mickelson and Jim Furyk.
