Michigan State and Western Michigan are moving their November 7th football game next season from Ford Field in Detroit to Spartan Stadium. The move gives MSU seven home games. The schools cite the current economic climate for the switch. Last November Western faced Illinois at Ford Field and only 12,000 fans paid to watch. Far more are expected at Spartan Stadium.
MSU opens its home schedule September 5th against Montana State. Western faces three Big Ten teams next season-- the Broncos open at Michigan, later play at Indiana before meeting the Spartans.
