EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) -- Durrell Summers had 17 points in the first half of Michigan State's 118-57 exhibition basketball win over Division II Northern Michigan.
Summers didn't start Wednesday night's game, but finished with 30 points in just 16 minutes. He was 11-for-14 from the field and 3-for-5 from 3-point range.
Raymar Morgan added 19 points, Kalin Lucas had 16 and Chris Allen 13 for the Spartans, who are ranked No.6 in the Associated Press preseason poll. They shot 56.5 percent from the floor, 51.6 percent from long range and were 40-for-57 at the foul line.
Marc Renilique led Northern Michigan with 24 points. Raymont McElroy added 18 for the Wildcats, who lost three of their top six players this week to an NCAA ruling.
