The Detroit Red Wings are headed to the White House next week to celebrate last season's Stanley Cup championship.
The Red Wings will meet with President Bush on Tuesday afternoon.
Detroit won its 11th Cup last June, defeating the Pittsburgh Penguins in six games.
The Red Wings are hoping to become the NHL's first team to repeat since they did it in 1998.
They lost their season-opener Thursday night to the Toronto Maple Leafs
