3 Way Tie in Big Ten

Indiana blew an 8 point lead in the final minutes Thursday night and lost at Illinois 74-62. Tyler Griffey score an uncontested lay up on a sideline out of bounds play with 0.9 seconds remaining. Indiana had led most of the game by double figures. For the second time this season the Hoosiers likely will fall from the number one national ranking. There is now a 3-way tie for the Big Ten lead, Indiana, MSU and Michigan all 8-2, all with eight games remaining. D. J. Richardson of Illinois led all scorers with 23 points.
