Williamston graduate and Olivet College’s Lockwood named MIAA Offensive Player of the Week for men’s soccer

OLIVET, Mich. – Haslett resident, Williamston High School graduate and Olivet College senior forward Graham Lockwood has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Offensive Player of the Week for men’s soccer.

Lockwood scored four games to help the Comets post a pair of non-conference victories last week. He had two goals in a 7-1 win against Finlandia University Sept. 16 and added two more goals at Manchester (Ind.) College Sept. 20. For the week, Lockwood took 14 shots, including nine on-goal.

For the season, Lockwood is second on the team with nine points (four goals and one assist). He leads Olivet with 11 shots-on-goal and is tied for the team lead with 17 total shots.

Lockwood and the Comets (2-3-1) open the MIAA portion of their schedule Wednesday when they travel to play Trine (Ind.) University at 4 p.m.
