DETROIT (AP) -- The Detroit Tigers will play three games against the Chicago Cubs at Comerica Park next year.
The team announced its 2009 home schedule on Wednesday.
The Tigers will open the season with a four-game series in Toronto against the Blue Jays, starting April 6. The team will open at Comerica Park on April 10 with an afternoon game against Texas, kicking off a six-game homestand against the Rangers and the Chicago White Sox.
A three-game series at home against the Cubs is scheduled for June 23-25. The Tigers also will face the Colorado Rockies and Milwaukee Brewers in interleague home play.
The New York Yankees will come to Detroit for a three-game series April 27-29, and the Tigers will host the Boston Red Sox for three games June 2-4
